The foundation’s ability to promote major private interests and involve strategic players in all sectors, from the media to research institutes, allows Gates to find open doors in the development sector despite the evidence of his conflicts of interest and general failures. The same patterns of an aggressively imposed consensus through direct influence over all global development actors, repeat over and over again, while technocratic solutionism, powered by an “unholy alliance” between the science and technology institutions, states, and big capital, is embodied by the Gates’ Foundation and dangerously put into accelerated action through a philanthropic development.
